Library of India

On February 28, 1939, within four months after Swami Premananda first held services in the chapel that is now known as the Church of the Children he set aside in a corner of the chapel a small collection of books that began the Library of India. Over the years, the Library grew from donations and is currently located in a separate room in the Golden Lotus Temple. The Library contains over 500 volumes of esoteric wisdom from the world's great religious traditions and a complete collection of Swami's own works.

By joining the Library of India for a lifetime membership of $5.00, seekers of the Truth have the privilege of borrowing many profound works of wisdom and realization.

Church services are held from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon each Sunday; the Library is open each Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 12 noon to 12:30 p.m.
